Terranea Resort, pronounced ter-a-nay-a, is a brand new luxury resort set on 102 acres in Southern California. The resort offers magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean, beautiful gardens, and designer guest accommodations.
Located 30 miles southwest of Los Angeles, the resort is a quick weekend getaway from the city.
Designed by Hill Glazier Architects and Scheurer Architects, Terranea Resort is a blend of Mediterranean design and nature-inspired architecture.
The hotel offers the best in indoor/outdoor living, taking advantage of its warm Southern California climate. There are many outdoor spaces where one can relax with a view.
Terranea Resort has 360 generously proportioned rooms, 30 suites, 20 Bungalows, 50 ocean view Casitas and 32 Villas.
Guest rooms measure at least 450 square feet in size and most offer views of the Pacific Ocean.
Guests can dine at the resort's signature restaurant, mar'sel, (Spanish for "sea" and French for "salt"), serving a modern representation of California cuisine.
For best views of the Pacific Ocean, get a table at Nelson's restaurant with a view to the Point Vicente Lighthouse.
Catalina Kitchen serves delicious eats next to the pools, and other location at the resort.
Terranea Resort has a 50,000-square-foot spa, and a 9-hole par-3 oceanfront course. While you are on vacation at Terranea, choose from three swimming pools with private cabanas and food service. For children, there is a Children's Center with interactive programs.
